The Book of Hebrews

Barnabas, the probable writer of Hebrews, exhorts these Jewish background

followers of Christ to stay true to Him, because He fulfils everything that they

encounter in the Hebrew Scriptures, the Old Testament. In every way the Lord

Jesus is the Best. One the biggest temptations these new believers faced was

to return to Judaism and its Levitical priesthood in the temple. Therefore, last

month we began to learn that Barnabas pulls out all the stops to show that the

priesthood of the Lord Jesus is infinitely superior. We will continue to study the

superiority of His priesthood.
