At Christmas, many people love singing the carol "Hark the Herald Angel Sing," which emphasizes the Lord’s humanity and the belief that Jesus is one of us. In the second verse we sing:

“Veiled in flesh the Godhead see; hail the incarnate Deity,

Pleased with us in flesh to dwell, Jesus, our Immanuel.”

Historically, people have struggled to accept that Jesus had to be made like us in every way, but this truth is what makes the Christian message humbling and compelling. This belief was prophesied in the Old Testament and revealed in the New Testament. This Christmas, the focus will be on understanding this truth better to deepen our love, commitment, and service to the Lord. I would greatly appreciate your prayers as I seek to hear from the Lord what He wants us to learn and how He wants us to live for His glory.
