Easter 2026 – It’s Always All About Authority

“Why do you call me, “Lord, Lord,” and do not do what I say?” (Luke 6:46)

Theme Song: “I want to walk with Jesus Christ” Song 261

Humanity’s fall into sin began with Adam and Eve’s rejecting God’s command, His authority, not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The innumerable issues we all face stems from our refusal to submit to God’s authority in our lives. This Easter, we’ll explore different responses to authority, including our own, seeking God’s teaching and empowering to increasingly submit to His authority as individuals, families and as a fellowship.

Please prayerfully read the Scriptures below, asking God to show you how you respond to authority. Also ask close family and friends, how they think you respond to authority.

The young people are going to come up with newspaper headlines for the Lord entering Jerusalem and driving people out of the temple. Please could you think of headlines to describe the other stories we’ll be considering through Easter Week?

I’d appreciate your prayers as I seek God’s guidance on what He wants us to learn to live for His glory. Thank you, Kumar
