The Lord Jesus is the Best ~ Be the Best for the Lord Jesus

John 1: 14 says, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” The Lord Jesus is the Word, Who perfectly lived out His word. As we allow the Spirit to conform us to the image of Christ we will increasingly live out the very practical words of God from the book of Proverbs, thereby always moving towards being the best for the Lord Jesus. Through Proverbs we’ve learnt: “Fear of Lord = humility” is the means of gaining knowledge to live God’s word for His glory, (1: 1-7)

We must be vigilant about who we listen to. Listen to God and godly voices, never listen to voices that lead us to sin (1: 8-33).

Work hard to grasp God’s words of wisdom (2: 1-4), which opens the door to the many benefits of wisdom (2: 5-22)

The best way to live, is to always trust and live by God’s word, and never rely on your own understanding or your own wisdom (3: 1-10).

Always embrace and act on God’s loving correction and discipline (3: 11-12) Please refresh your understanding of these truths by reading and meditating on them.
